Copper insisted on being photographed with the afghan. |
This is a great project for a chilly night. |
Lots of fond knitting memories in this afghan. |
Here is my granny square pattern:
Round 1: Ch4, connect with a slip stitch to form a ring
Round 2: Ch3, 2 dc, *ch2, 3 dc* (repeat 3 times), ch2, connect to ch3 piece with slip stitch
Round 3: Ch3, 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc, *ch2, 3 dc, ch2, 3 dc* (repeat 3 times), ch2, connect to chain 3 piece with slip stich, end.
I connect my pieces as I go along to save the bother of sewing them together. I crochet two sides of the final round, then, as I’m crocheting the final two sides, I slip stitch the square to the afgan at the corners and centers of the sides. It’s way easier than sewing them!
Consider this idea for your leftover yarns.

My temperamental model walks off the set. |
Put together as you go and there isn't so much to keep track of - Brilliant! I love the colors, and your model! Perfect!
