Tammis Keefe Day 9 - Puffed Up Cat Skirt

Prepare to be cuted to death.
Loving her new Tammis Cats skirt!

This cat skirt is so adorable!  Add in the darling kid, and it’s death by cuteness (an exe-cute-tion?).
You can find the pattern in Emma Hardy's "Sewing Children's Clothes"

Originally, I drafted a pattern for a dress, but got frustrated with it.  I decided to turn my brain off and let someone else do the thinking.  Enter Emma Hardy and her excellent book “Sewing Children’s Clothes.”  I used her Puffy Skirt pattern with a couple of modifications of my own.

The perfect fabric for this was Tammis Cats in the gray colorway.  I love the pink and black.

I used velvet for my waistband.  I think it adds a fancy touch.
The black velvet waistband adds some shine to skirt.

A little girl skirt can’t be too pink so I added this flower made of pink chiffon with a black velvet yo-yo center.
I think I need some pink chiffon ribbons on my clothes!

The vintage purse is made of vinyl.  I decoupaged some of the Tammis Dogs onto it using glossy Mod Podge.  A perfect accessory for play time.
A matching handbag.

That’s it for the Tammis Keefe projects.  Tomorrow, you can vote for your favorite and enter to win some Michael Miller Tammis Keefe Tribute fabric of your own!
Thanks to my super model.  She has got the moves!
