Word is she loves it! Cannot wait to see her modeling it! Oh, and I love the fact that my nieces are requesting things now - wouldn't it be such a fun tradition to just make them something just like they wanted for their special days? Her sister has put in a request for a turkey skirt, but I'm not sure how I'm going to pull that off! Any ideas?
another fun thing I always like doing it making a coordinating card with the fabric scraps sewn onto cardstock |
For kicks, here is a picture of my other niece's birthday skirt (yes, there are 5 girls on this side ... not a boy to speak of!) Hers was this summer - she requested pink & blue! Word on her is that she wore it to her party and all special events for quite a while! Now THAT makes my day! :-)
i think this was the first time my "double hem line" actually turned out straight - i was real happy |
Here is a cute turkey shirt that would be easy to make!!! http://www.etsy.com/listing/60823188/turkey-ribbon-shirt Don't know how old she is though but I think its cute!
ReplyDeletethanks shannon! and you are fast - must be on the computer right now! :-) that shirt is cute ... my niece wants a skirt, but the ribbon idea is cute and maybe i can work that into something!? wish me luck! ps- the boys' pants & bowties turned out SOOO great! they looked so handsome yesterday!
